St Anthony's Parish School
The Parish School is St Anthony's School and is situated a short distance from the church on the corner of Somerset Road and Turner Road. The main entrance is from Turner Road.
The School was established by the Franciscan Missionary Sisters in 1930 and dedicated to that great franciscan teacher and scholar Saint Anthony of Padua.
Currently it has an enrolment in excess of 600 students from Prep to Year Seven (for girls) and Prep to Year Four (for boys). Many of the boys continue their primary school education at Padua College.
Mission

Vision
How we live our Vision?
Our school’s unique *Franciscan ethos ensures students are given quality education within an atmosphere that is positive and uncomplicated – true to the simple ways of our Franciscan founders. The philosophy of St Anthony’s centres on living life in a manner that Makes Jesus Real in the hearts of all who are part of the St Anthony’s family.
The dedicated staff and supportive parents work together as partners in this close family community, to provide the children with a challenge and caring learning environment.
Values
Our Five Franciscan Values
Respect
We value and respect each person’s uniqueness.
Shared Responsibility
Collectively we share the responsibility for the development of each member of our school family.
Reverencing Creation
We give praise and are thankful that all things are gifts from God.
Contemplation
We are reflective people who understand that life-giving growth comes from saying sorry and accepting forgiveness.
Joy
We embrace a joyful, fun attitude that is forever grateful for God’s gifts.
Religious Education at the School
Religious Education has a very prominent place in the curriculum and life of the school.
Religious education classes are conducted each day for the children, and there are many opportunities for the children to prepare liturgies, and be involved in the celebration of the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Penance.
The School shares the vision of the Archdiocese of Brisbane of Jesus, Communion and Mission It recognises that we are Catholics who:
Embrace the person and vision of Jesus
Build Communion with God and others
Engage in Christ's Mission in our world
It also follows the educational mission of Brisbane Catholic Education to teach, challenge and transform the world through what it does and how it is done, placing at its centre the person of Christ.
