Kedron Catholic Parish
Welcome to the Parish Community of St Therese & St Anthony
We are a vibrant Christian Community focussed on living and promoting God's values of love, justice and peace.
The Kedron Catholic Parish has been in the care of the Franciscan Friars for over 80 years.
Mission Statement
To be a prayerful, caring community in the spirit of St Francis, so that we may come to know more intensely the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We have grown as a Parish due to the nurturing of the Franciscan Friars. In 2009 they celebrated 800 years since they were founded. We thank them for the wonderful spirituality, support and love they have shared with us over the years in this Parish.
Father's Day
We give thanks for our Dads and for the wornerful contribution they make to families and the community they live in.
80th Anniversary Mass for Franciscan Sisters
Sr Maureen Andrews, on behalf of the Franciscan Sisters would like to thank Father Peter, the Music Ministry and all Parishioners who helped celebrate the Sisters 80th anniversary.
What a fantastic celebration and it was a wonderful feeling to share this moment with our Franciscan Sisters. Their vision to begin St Anthony’s 80 years ago has enabled many children and their families to experience an education in a Parish school which has at its heart the Franciscan values of respect, shared responsibility, contemplation, reverence for creation and joy.
Part of the celebrations included the Sisters renewing their vows; the blessing of beautiful sculptors depicting the “Franciscan Missionary Sisters” on the wall of the Convent at Delamore; a display of photos and memorabilia and a great Franciscan morning tea in the grounds at Delamore. It was fabulous having representatives from all of our FOTH schools there.

2010 Sacramental Programme
Congratulations to the 43 children and their families who celebrated the culmination of their sacramental preparation with First Eucharist over the last two weekends. There was much joy and smiles all round as parishioners welcomed and celebrated with them.
Our thanks to the marvellous Sacramental Team - Bernadette Dutton, Amanda Atchison, Monica and Sophie Banister and Liz Anderson. Also thanks to our amazing choir and musicians, especially Michael Scanlan, Jess Woodward, members of the Youth Music Group, Christine Masters and the Children's Choir, Annie Petersen and Anne Begg.
Cupcake Morning Tea ~ We are continuing the celebrations for our first communicants with a Cupcake Morning Tea on the 12th Sept after the 7.30am & 9.30am masses. We will be having a "thanksgiving" powerpoint presentation featuring highlights of the Children's Activity Afternoon held in July.
