Parish Pastoral Council
The Council is an elected collaborative body sharing in the overall concern of all aspects of parish life. It is an advisory body to the Parish Priest, and it works with the parish staff and takes on the responsibility of building a vital Christian community focused on living and promoting God's values of love, justice and peace.
In order to fulfil its role, the Parish Pastoral Council will:
- Grow in knowledge and awareness of what is already happening in the parish.
- Encourage and support the good work of existing groups within the parish.
- Search out and respond to the hopes, ideas, needs and concerns of the parishioners.
- Evaluate carefully information gathered in order to make decisions that reflect the values of the Gospel and the teachings of the Church.
- Set long and short term pastoral goals for the parish.
- Provide opportunities for parishioners to grow in their relationship with God and with each other.
- Develop, implement and improve parish initiatives that assist parishioners in their continuing efforts to live as effective Christians in society.
The new Parish Council Members are as follows:

Parish Finance Committee
The Council assists the Parish Priest in the financial planning of the parish and oversees the income and expenses of the parish. Any significant expenditures of the parish need the approval of the members of this council.
The Parish Finance Committee operates according to guidelines set my the Archdiocese, and works in accordance with Canons #532 and #537 of the Code of Canon Law, and it provides to the Parish Pastoral Council sound financial guidance, adequate finance for agreed pastoral priorities and planning regarding the resources needed to develop and implement parish plans, programs, and policies.
The current members of this Committee are Gary Humphrys (Chair), Mark Feltrin and Barry Gercken.
The Franciscan Friars
For the past seventy-five years the Catholic parish of Kedron has been in the care of the Franciscan Friars of the Orders of Friars Minor. There are two houses of the Friars in Kedron.

The Franciscan Sisters
The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception have had a long and distinguished presence in the parish, and continue to administer Mt Alvernia College and The Delamore Retirement Community.

Delamore Retirement Community

Delamore is a resident-funded retirement community consisting of independent living units and serviced apartments located in the beautiful grounds of the Franciscan Convent at Kedron and situated within easy walking distance of the Parish Church.
The complex is centrally located to all amenities. Privacy and independence is assured, yet residents have the security of a 24 hour emergency call person.
The gracious Community Centre in Delamore House provides dining, entertainment, billiards, craft, exercise rooms and a spa. From the Community Centre, residents have access to the Chapel.
