Educational / Faith Formation Ministries

If you would like further information on our Liturgical Ministries, please contact our parish office – 07 3267 4825

Each year, depending on requests, our parish conducts and RCIA program, over several months, to form adults who wish to be baptised into or make full communion with the Catholic Church (if they are already baptised in another Christian Church). Along with the Parish Priest, we need a team of dedicated parishioners who can assist with this ministry that meets fortnightly in a group setting. For more information or if you are interested in helping with this ministry, please contact the Parish Office.

These parishioners work with our Parish Sacramental Co-ordinator and the Parish Team to help deliver our program of forming children for the sacraments of Confirmation (Year 3), Communion (Year 4) and Reconciliation (Year 5). For more information or if you would like to assist with this ministry, please contact the Parish Office or our Sacramental Co-ordinator, Maria Hopes on sacramental.kedron@bne.catholic.net.au

Volunteers visit local primary schools on a weekly basis (usually mornings). This ministry provides children of all grades attending State Schools the opportunity to share in religious education through prayer, song, Bible story and drama activities. If you are interested in helping with this ministry please contact the Parish Office to register your interest.

This group meets for prayer and reflection, using the form of Christian Meditation promoted by the Benedictine Fr John Main OSB. They meet each Friday from 9.00amto 10.00am at Delamore Retirement Community, 115 Turner Road, Kedron.  Please contact the Parish Office for more details and for their contact details.

This group of ordinary people, single and married, has a special commitment to living their daily lives according to Franciscan spirituality. It meets for prayer and reflection on the third Sunday of each month. If you are interested in learning more about the Secular Franciscans whose beginnings go back to St Francis of Assisi himself, please contact the Parish Office or Fr Joe McKay ofm directly on jmckay@franciscans.org.au
